About ME

My name is Jesus Landeros and I grew up in Oxnard, CA. I come from a pretty large family where I’m the second youngest. My family and I are a first generation college family where both of my parents immigrated from Zacatecas, Mexico. There, my parents received little to no education due to having to constantly work to create a better life. As a young kid, I discovered soccer which became my passion. I was fortunate enough to receive a phone call from a team in Pasadena, CA called FC Barcelona. Here, I was greatly impacted and exposed to the Cal South State Team, Regional Team, US National Teams and universities. I had the privilege to be a part of the state team, attend regional camps and be a part of the two US Youth National Camps when I was enrolled under the U-15 and U-18 division. Due to playing for a well known club, it opened doors for me that I couldn’t imagine possible. I was lucky enough to get offered scholarships out of high school.

Due to lack of focus impacting my grades, I wasn’t awarded the offered scholarships which resulted in my attending Oxnard Community College where I continued to play soccer and improve my grades. I was lucky enough to keep contact with Adam Cooper from Saint Mary’s College of California, where I continued to play soccer and received my bachelor of science degree in business. In the last couple of years, I have seen a lack of student-athletes attending universities/colleges. I see a big need for someone to help these student athletes and a few ex-college players and took it upon myself to help them. We want to expose these kids to college and guide them along the way; like a big brother, someone they feel comfortable talking to and allowing them to be guided by.
